Identify the need

The man gave names to all livestock and to the birds of the heavens and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper fit for him. (Genesis 2:20 ESV)

I love this passage because it demonstrates how God leads us to understanding.  God had Adam name all the animals, and in doing so, He lead Adam to the understanding that he had no companion as the animals did.  Once Adam recognized the need, God filled it...and He does that everyday for each of us, helps us recognize needs and then He provides.
