While John 3:16 is probably the most famous verse in the Bible, John 3:17 carries such a tremendous message. God sent Jesus into the world NOT to condemn, but to save. So many people have the viewpoint of God sitting on His throne waiting to smite us, send lightning to strike us, etc. when we mess up. John 3:17 clearly makes that viewpoint completely unfounded. God loves us so much, yet people everywhere have fallen for the lie of Satan that God is either made up or is waiting to smite us.
