John 3;35-36
35 The Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand.36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.
WE are a part of "all things" that the Father has given into the Son's hand. I'm dwelling on this thought tonight as we head into Easter Sunday tomorrow.
God is good and therefore is a good Father. A good father gives good gifts to his children, desirable gifts, things meant to please them. Since God is the Father and Jesus is the Son, and WE are a part of "all things into his hand", and we know that God is a good father, and that good fathers give desirable gifts meant to please their children, WE are desired by and meant to please Jesus.
That is powerful and humbling at the same time.
Thank YOU JESUS for desiring us, Thank you for YOUR obedience to the Father, and Thank YOU for paying the price of our sins by dying on the cross so that we may have eternal life through You.
