Observation: the mortality of Jesus is really felt in this passage. Imagine knowing you were spending your final moments of rest with your loved ones before being crucified. What anguish I can only imagine.
Application: be aware, be awake, for He is coming again.
Prayer: Daddy, May Jesus come again soon. I pray that Your elect would not slumber, but instead await His return more than the watchman await the morning.
