God wants us to rest in Him

See! The Lord has given you the Sabbath; therefore on the sixth day he gives you bread for two days. Remain each of you in his place; let no one go out of his place on the seventh day.” (Exodus 16:29 ESV)

In the fast paced world we live in, rest is overshadowed, overlooked, viewed as weakness, etc.  God the Almighty rested and stressed the importance of rest for us.  This is a timely reminder, not just to rest in general, but to take time away from the things that could otherwise become idols in our lives.  It could be our job, sports, even family.  God wants us to rest, and not just rest in general, but rest in Him.  What a mighty God we serve!
