SOAP October 19, 2014

Scripture: When I would gather them, declares the Lord, there are no grapes on the vine, nor figs on the fig tree; even the leaves are withered, and what I gave them has passed away from them.” (Jeremiah 8:13 ESV)

Observation: When we produce no fruit, we are deceiving ourselves into thinking we are "ok".  

Application: We are all hopelessly lost, and salvation comes by grace alone through Christ Jesus by faith. 

Prayer: Daddy, show us the innermost parts of our hearts.  The vile places that we pretend do not exist.  Then give us the stregnth to turn it over to You. May we be a broken people, yearning for You alone.
