Storms and poems

We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies. (2 Corinthians 4:8-10 ESV)

We know not what troubles await tomorrow's dawn
We can not perceive that which has been written long before our breath
Though trouble comes, and hope seems to flicker like a candle, we will not yield
Our troubles fade in the light of Christ
Our souls rejoice in everlasting life
Though darkness falls across the Earth, let His light shine with all our worth

Tonight I see storm clouds on the Horizon, and I'm dreading the fight.  I need Jesus, and nothing more.  This passage from 2 Corinthians really spoke to me, proclaiming that He is alive in me and that He alone is victorious.
